Great couple and she has a black belt from the karate school that I also go to. I love this couple, great families and wonderful personalities.
Small simple backyard weddings are sometimes the best. As a photographer I can move around more without a lot of restrictions that are put on you by some churches.
I think the coolest thing I saw was the guest book. With Joanna being a designer she came up with some great stuff. Dan and Joanna each had notecards for their guests to fill out about each other. Then they got to read what each others set of family and friends had to say. Really cool idea in my opinion.
Here are a few images. enjoy. Thanks again Dan and Joanna.

Taking photos of children is honestly on of the most fun sessions that I do. Kristi and I have a son who will be 4 in late september and a girl who is going to be 1 in about a week. People are always saying that we must have the best photos of our kids. Yes , they are pretty cool but I just do not take enough of them. We have to schedule a day to go take photos just like anyone else would. When we do thought it is so much fun. He is my philosophy on this. A studio portrait of you child is fne but I want to see more real images. Someone once told me taking a kid to a photo sudio was about the same to them as going to the dentist. You have strange people, a big light and your are being told to hold still. Does that really sound like fun?
I like to go to the places they know. A favorite park, Ice creme shop, baseball fields, really wherever the kids like to have fun. Then we play.
Please call us if you want to have that kind of an experience for your child and get some awesome photos. Sessions are always free and we only have a $350 minimum purchase.
Here are some from a session we did with cousins Keely and Juliana. I have taken photos of both the mothers. We went to grandmas house and had fun playing dress up.

On a decidedly warm day Chuck made his way out to Montgomery Bell State Park to photograph Danielle and Chris’ wedding. One month out from their wedding Danielle contacted Chuck to see if he was available…low and behold he was. Chuck decided to offer a new service….it’s not what he “normally” offers for his wedding clients but thought it was worth a try in a tumultuous economy. For the most budget-conscious couples Chuck can spend a maximum of 6 hours with the couple on their wedding day and offer them a mid-rez disc of 300 images in which are “lightly-retouched”. Since Danielle was getting married within two months of booking Chuck , she got great images within her price range. We always do albums, style sessions, and prints on an a-la-carte basis so there are no hidden “blows to the piggy bank”. Overall, Chuck got cute images for Danielle and Chris to share with their families…including those two sweet babes they will share together! So, you can get great photos on a budget.

Thankfully Chuck was better by Saturday the 6th to shoot Tate and Destiny’s wedding. Chuck started his day off with the girls at the Embassy Suites hotel in Murfreesboro. Destiny really had a great time with her bridesmaids and Tate equally as cool with his groomsmen. A special quiet moment was shared by the couple before gathering for wedding party pictures. Chuck decided to take the guys to a downtown Murfreesboro cigar shop called Liquid Smoke. It was packed with “Harley” people so they went next door to The Humidor to relax before the wedding. The wedding took place at Tate’s aunt and uncle’s house in Brookhaven Farms and you couldn’t have asked for such perfect weather that day! So right now they are probably sunning on the beaches of Jamaica doing absolutely nothing…..isn’t that what you do at a beach on your honeymoon?

We had so much fun with this couple. First I could never get Tate’s name right. Pete? Pate? No wait…Tate! Thank goodness I finally got it right after we initially met with them earlier this year. Tate and Destiny are getting married this weekend on the 6th at Brookhaven Farms in Murfreesboro TN. We started off day one in Centennial Park. This is one place we almost always take couples for their engagement sessions to get acclimated to Chuck. There was an additional “dress up” date for Tate and Destiny at the new Embassy Suites at The Avenues in Murfreesboro TN. I have to say the by the end of the second “dress up” date, Chuck “WOW!”d me with some creative images. Who’d thought you could look so cool in a hotel background?

Jessica and Alan. Jessica worked at one of our favorite dress boutiques in Lebanon TN, The White Room (hello to owners Melanie and Erica!). It seems rain just followed Chuck and Jessica around. First it was her Bridals in Franklin where they got ambushed by the F4 tornado which devastated part of Murfreesboro. Jessica and her mom made it to The Loft hotel in Franklin but left her sash to her dress in Murfreesboro. Eeek! Chuck being the creative and laid back guy he is, got a few head shots anyways. Chuck got to Kansas City to do her Bridal style session and it was beautiful. Back in Murfreesboro TN for the wedding it was rain and more rain. They even had to move the reception at the very last minute. I think that worked out just fine though. Chuck got some great timeless images for Jessica and Alan.
Needless to say, this was a great wedding day and we all had a blast. Chuck loves it when the bride’s father is also the minister. It is so much more heartfelt and emotional. Jessica’s Dad married them.
Here are a few images.
Madilynn contacted us a few months back about becoming a model representative for our high school Seniors division of Arlund. Madilynn attends Centennial High School and Julie attends Brentwood High School. Both schools are in the area we know and are targeting to reach for more students. We met up at our Germantown area studio and I did makeup for the girls. We began in studio and then traveled to downtown where we played around the new Nashville Davidson County courthouse lawn area. The fountains were going, the sun was shining that day and the girls were wearing their prom dresses having a blast! We left there and went into Centennial Park and later hit the railroad yards behind Marathon Village. Meet the upcoming class of Twenty-Ten and we look forward to adding more fresh faces to our Twenty-Ten group!
So Chuck had a great time with these two. Everett reminds me of Cole Hauser, the guy in the movie The Paparazzi and Amber justs looks so angelic in her wedding dress. The session started off city-side in downtown Nashville and ended with a red couch in a field in Nolensville TN. Funny story….during their shoot in the field by Nolensville Road, Autumn walked through a thorn bush (not so funny) and the field was being treated with a pesticide (which made Chuck sick later that night) so they had to shoot some images quickly. Seems to me they got some cool stuff.
